Rare Custom Made CREEPSHOW (1982) and CREEPSHOW 2 (1987) Comic Book Replicas

Etsy seller RabidWeaselStudio has recreated the comic books seen in the 1982 film Creepshow and it's 1987 sequel Creepshow 2. The seller spent many hours looking over screengrabs and scanned pictures of the original prop used in the movie (provided by the owner of the original comic) and has redrawn the majority of the stories frames by hand.

The Inner pages of both comics are printed on newsprint so it looks and feels like a real comic and the cover is printed on glossy 180gsm photo paper. These are the most complete replicas out there and took well over a month to create.

The Creepshow (1982) comic book replica features 16 full colour pages, which includes the front and rear pages of the stories and the Ad pages featured in the movie. The description reads "I have left out one page which was featured in the movie "Greetings Cards" page as reference for this page is difficult to come by and I added my own "Killer Ashtray" Ad page to fill in the blank page." The Creepshow 2 (1987) comic book replica features 12 pages including the front and back pages from the 3 stories in the movie: Old Chief Wood 'n' head, The Raft, and Hitchiker. There are also Ad pages featured such as "Venus Fly trap" and the "Rocket" page. The seller also added a few extra pages such as "Creepy Correspondence" to fill in the missing pages but he explains it still stays within the "Creepshow" theme. More pics below.

Looks like a low budget Trick 'r Treat or Creepshow type film. I'd definitely watch it. Release date 10.16.15.

Epic Pictures new horror anthology film, Tales of Halloween, is currently in production in Los Angeles and is based on a concept created by Soulmate director Axelle Carolyn.

SYNOPSIS from IMDb.com: Ten stories are woven together by their shared theme of Halloween night in an American suburb, where ghouls, imps, aliens and axe murderers appear for one night only to terrorize unsuspecting residents.

The impressive list of directors involved who call themselves The October Society includes Carolyn's husband Neil Marshall (The Descent), Mike Mendez (Big Ass Spider!), Joe Begos (Almost Human), Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, III & IV), Adam Gierasch (Night of the Demons), Andrew Kasch (Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy), Dave Parker (The Hills Run Red), Ryan Schifrin (Abominable), John Skipp (Stay at Home Dad), Paul Solet (Grace) and Lucky Mckee (May and The Woman). No info on release date, hopefully it will be ready in time for Halloween 2015.
