I love these 2 short films by YouTubers @LunarlightCinema, my favorites on this blog and on all of YouTube. Can't wait for Part III hopefully coming soon! Here is the description from the video:

You know that old tape you recorded off the TV years ago? The one with half the commercials still on it. Every October, you dust it off, pop it in, and hope it still plays.

This is that kind of Halloween tradition.

This version of Slash-O-Lantern Parts 1 & 2 was transferred to an actual VHS tape and captured back to digital for the most authentic vintage look possible.

Just some dudes making indie slashers.

Watch SLASH-O-LANTER PART II Short Film

The night of October 31st continues as The Slasher and Pumpkinstein return in this prequel and sequel to Lunarlight Cinema's 2021 short film Slash-O-Lantern that I posted here last year. You gotta watch the original to understand what's happening in Part II below.

Here's Part II's SYNOPSIS: They thought the nightmare was over. They were wrong... dead wrong! Expect SICK kills.

Directed by Taylor McManus & Matthew McManus, written, filmed & edited by Taylor McManus who both also star in the short along with Jackson McManus, Sayeed Bensalama and David McManuswith. Original synth score by Frank Dormani and special FX makeup by Railene Clemons.
