The Horrors of Halloween: Jason Voorhees

What you'll see above! I loved watching all the classic horror movie TV spots, my favorites were the Halloween franchise and Nightmare on Elm Street franchise promos!

Welcome one and all to Trash-O-Rama, Austin Popdan's series of themed video mixtapes inspired by the likes of Forbidden Transmission and The Hypnotic Eye. For those unaware a video mixtape is a mashup of clips taken from movies, tv shows, music videos, commercials or whatever other random shit you want all compiled together.

It's the 2026 Halloween special and this one has a specific theme: horror movie TV spots and promos from the 70s, 80s and 90s! Expect Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, Dracula, Frankenstein, Ghostface, sharks, zombies and even the fucking Leprechaun!

Crystal Lake premiered on Peacock on October 15, 2026! The drama slasher horror thriller TV series is a re-imagining reboot prequel of Friday the 13th (1980) and other movies in the franchise.

The series follows single mother Pam Voorhees who has been unable to shake her grief after her young, sickly son Jason tragically drowned in the town lake almost a year before. When two strangers arrive at Pam’s door digging into her past, a disturbing chain of events is set into motion, leaving the townspeople of Crystal Lake wondering: just who is Pam Voorhees?

SYNOPSIS: "A dark secret from Pamela Voorhees' past emerges after her son's death, just as bodies begin turning up across the quiet town of Crystal Lake."

STORYLINE: "In 1971 (eight years before the events of the 1980 film), Pamela Voorhees (Linda Cardinelli) is a single mother who has been unable to cope with her grief after her sickly young son Jason presumably drowned at Camp Crystal Lake almost a year earlier. When a dark secret from Pam's past emerges, a disturbing chain of horrifying events befell the peaceful town of Crystal Lake, making its townspeople wonder: who is Pamela Voorhees?" —camarolover313

All eight episodes of the prequel series will be released on the same day at the same time, and Peacock has officially confirmed the individual titles for all eight episodes.

In a fun twist, the episode titles are based on the various titles of the Friday the 13th movies.

Here are all eight “Crystal Lake” episode titles and runtimes…

Camp Crystal – 56 min

Part II – 53 min

Part III – 48 min

A New Beginning – 53 min

The New Blood – 49 min

Kill Them, Mommy – 44 min

Friday… – 51 min

The Final Chapter – 43 min

In total, “Crystal Lake” will be a 6 hour, 37 minute horror experience, making the series just about as long as 4-5 NEW MOVIE INSTALLMENTS in the Friday the 13th franchise!
