MICHAEL MYERS Comes Back In HALLOWEEN RETURNS

Dimension Films and Trancas International Films officially announced Michael Myers will be returning to the big screen in "Halloween Returns" the 11th film in the Michael Myers franchise. Written by Marcus Dunstan & Patrick Melton, and to be directed by Dunstan (The Collector, The Collection), the film will start production this July.

Though the official announcement kept the story under wraps, the site MovieHole reported the film's plot. "The now 18-year-old child of one of Myers’ victims plays a central role along with the child of a cop whose long been obsessed with Myers’ case, even putting it before his own daughter. Myers is now on death row and the two kids with their own personal vendettas against the killer sneak in to watch his execution. But when things go awry and Myers escapes, the pair, along with their friends, find themselves in the firing line."

But who is this cop, and what connection to the series does he bear? ShockTillYouDrop has learned Halloween II’s Deputy Gary Hunt—who you may remember from the 1981 sequel as the blonde officer who accompanies Dr. Loomis to the school on the night he came home—appears in Halloween Returns, now as sheriff. Thanks goes to Halloween Daily News for this info and the top image.

I'm excited for this, I'm glad the're not making the film about Michael Myers trying to kill his sister or niece, which I find kinda stupid now.
