Jack-O's Review: "A decently made Halloween-themed SYFY Original (bad) Movie, worth watching at least once with friends or date night during the season. Nice Halloween ambience, costumes and haunted attraction, good monster/effects for a TV movie. Many have added the film to their yearly Halloween watchlist. It's also on the list of most popular horror movies on Tubi." ★★ @trickhorrortreater

"Knowing it was a SYFY film I didn't go in expecting too much which helped with the disappointment some. The opening scene was interesting but when you get to the main characters of the story it all goes downhill quick, unless you like watching characters running around endlessly and annoyingly yelling for someone for about 30 minutes...Basic horror troupes. Can't outrun the monster, no one calls for help, yada, yada, yada. Not even sure who actually lived and who didn't because the end never really shows for sure. I give it 2 stars. One for an interesting concept. Too bad the concept didn't play out well." 2/10 jnmarable at IMDb.com

"The filmmaking is just fine (cinematography, editing, etc.). The turning-to-Fall locations and Halloween setting are great, especially the haunting graveyard and the hay maze. The lumbering, misshapen demon-creature is excellent in a creepy, almost shocking, sort of way. I don't know if it's a guy in a costume or CGI or both, but it's effective. The no-name cast is decent and there are a few worthy females, but their presence is never properly highlighted...As the first act progressed and segued into the second act I found myself becoming disengaged, which continued till the close. It was an overall feeling of "Meh" and pointed to problems in the script. SOMETHING needed done to perk the movie out of the doldrums beyond the attributes noted above. It's a shame because everything was here for a great TV-budget horror flick. SOME of it works, though, and I appreciated the positives despite my tedium." GRADE: C- 4/10 Wuchakk at IMDb.com

"An enjoyable Halloween flick to sit and watch with friends, Neverknock is a tale of a haunted door that seeks out its victims using their worst fears against them...The movie runs much like any other Halloween genre film with a heavy emphasis on the subgenre of 'terror'. It’s paced evenly enough from its beginning to its middle and to the end, though I do find some scenes to be more drawn out than others, which can shake that overall sense of dread into something that feels more like impatience. By no means does this make it a bad movie or not worth watching, I would say it’s definitely worth watching at least once." FleetOfFandoms.com

"While I wouldn’t call Neverknock an excessively great movie, I would definitely put forward the film as being one of the better Syfy originals in the last ten years, with a decent amount going for it...few of the kills are really that memorable, but honestly, that doesn’t matter as much to me in this case, as I still love the Halloween vibe of the film. And that’s something that really works for me – it has that small town Halloween vibe. There’s a hay bale maze, which looked quite impressive and folksy. There’s a House of Horrors, which was pretty dope – I loved the room with a bunch of body bags hanging from the ceiling, and what was funniest of all was that as the characters were going through the house, the teenagers were all scared at various points...I personally find it a movie worth seeing, even if it’s not exactly special." 7.5/10 JigsawsHorrorCorner.com

"I liked the history that was given about the Neverknock, killing wherever it has been hidden in history, pretty cool idea. The beginning of the movie really sets the tone for what is to come, especially on Halloween night after 30 years have passed since its last appearance. I liked the characters in this and while you don’t get a ton of background on them, you get to see their greatest fears which turn out to be their demise. With an unstoppable demon, an urban legend coming to life, a haunted house, needles, blood, bugs, dogs, fire and a finale that shows just how smart our youth really is, it is just a fun shriek fest." NerdsThatGeek.com

"While I generally shy away from reviewing SyFy movies because, though movie length, they are marked by many of the production values of TV movies...this one has a few things going for it, for a while, at least...it is a solid story, and lore, nicely laid out. Also fun is that this darker reality is revealed during the annual rituals of commercial Halloween, and trick or treat...So, things get off to an OK start, the urban legend is very solid, the encounter with it in the context of Trick or Treat by teens is fun, and so are the adjunct retreats to cemetery and hay maze, but once the monster shows up, and the killing starts, the movie gets caught up in the runaround and it all plateaus out to coast to a predictable ending." ★★ RoMMerReviewsDotCom.wordpress.com

"...this idea of an evil thing using your fears to kill you is...Let’s be honest; this concept has been driven into the ground further than a pipeline straight to Hell...Oh, just put some young faces in front of the camera; no one will notice the script is so tired that even the actors look fatigued...Keep walking if you are looking for scares. They could not even afford jump scares. Instead, you get people attacked with their fears, but most of the characters are so under developed that you can only make assumptions about their fears based on what they see...'Neverknock' does manage to slightly raise an eyebrow with younger characters on the receiving end of a reasonable amount of violence...Pass on 'Neverknock' unless you have to have a movie fix. It is so dull and bland that they clearly edited it for commercial breaks instead of editing it like a feature film. You will wish they had left the commercials and forgotten the film."
