The original Halloween Candy was released to digital on March 21, 2025, read my review here. I watched a screener of Halloween Candy 2. Thanks so much to Douglas A. Plomitallo for sending it to me. Check out my review for the sequel below.

SYNOPSIS: "One year after surviving a Halloween massacre, Candee faces a new nightmare when a masked killer traps her and her friends at a Halloween party. As the body count rises, she'll learn that real monsters aren't always the ones wearing masks."

Directed and written by Douglas A. Plomitallo, it stars Amber Rothberg, Annaliese Curry, Alissa Leonetti, Nadia Rykova, Meosha Bean, Jess Bennett, and WWE Legend The Boogeyman (Marty Wright).

Jack-O's Review: A pretty good, well-made follow-up that continues the story from the first film. There are 3 segments and a wraparound. I loved all the characters; they did great, especially Amber Rothberg as Candee and Annaliese Curry as Tori, with their characters always arguing. The stories kept me interested and the wraparound has a familiar surprise ending. My favorite was the Boogeyman segment, it had a satisfying climax. You get blood, slashers, twists, and Tiny is back trick or treating! ★★★ @trickhorrortreater

More Reviews:

"A solid continuation that tops the original story-wise. While the anthology segments are still really enjoyable, the unifying story and framing device follows up the events of its predecessor in interesting ways that expand on an overlapping theme of guilt. Just like the original you can tell just how much the people making this love anthology horror and are extremely passionate about what their creating while make the most of their limited resources. Got to talk to the crew of this one-on-one and they were such cool people chat and geek out about horror with. It was such a fun premiere and you can tell this is the kind of Halloween film that’s meant to be watched with a rowdy crowd of friends in the best way." ★★★½ Let'sGetReel at Letterboxd.com

"'All he wanted was candy?' What an amazing experience!! I had the honor of watching this early with a bunch of other Quinnipiac students and it was so great! It’s a definite upgrade from the first film, with better acting, storytelling, and the plot twists were great. Watching it with the big, very reactive crowd elevated the experience as well. I also had the honor of talking to the director Doug afterwards!! He is so kind and it was awesome to pick his brain for a bit. Shout out to the boogeyman in his small cameo!! Thank you to QFS for this awesome horror experience, I really needed it!! ★★★½ Eurydice 😾 at Letterboxd.com
