Scream 7 opens in theaters on February 27, 2026. The latest installment in the slasher saga takes place approximately two years after Scream 6. It will focus on Sidney and her family in the fictitious town of Pine Grove, Indiana.

Neve Campbell is back as Sidney Prescott, with the character taking center stage when Ghostface targets her daughter (Isabel May) in the seventh installment. She’ll be joined by returning players, including David Arquette, Courteney Cox, Scott Foley, and Matthew Lillard, with Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown also set to reprise their roles from the previous two installments.

SYNOPSIS: When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.

Kevin Williamson, writer of the original Scream as well as Scream 2 and Scream 4, is directing from a script by Guy Busick, who co-write Scream (2022) and Scream VI. Marco Beltrami, who composed the music for the first four Scream films, is back in the studio for Scream 7.

Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters: Afterlife), Celeste O’Connor (Ghostbusters: Afterlife), Sam Rechner (The Fabelmans), Asa Germann (“Gen V”), Anna Camp (“True Blood”), Ethan Embry (Empire Records), Mark Consuelos (“Riverdale”) as morning show host Robbie Rivers, Michelle Randolph (“1923”) and Jimmy Tatro (“American Vandal”) round out the cast. Roger L. Jackson is expected to provide the voice of Ghostface, as he’s done for all six prior films.

Gooding teases that the film has “the most brutal Ghostface” ever. Kevin Williamson says the film will be less meta, more bloody.
