Jack-O's Review: "A cheesy horror-comedy with gushing bloody kills and an outstanding Halloween atmosphere. I laughed out loud at a few jokes, although most of the humor is hit or miss. A lot of people probably won’t tolerate the goofy comedy, but I thought the dimwitted sheriff and detective scenes were funny.
Blue, the killer nurse, was hot. She acts like the enforcer of Halloween, punishing kids who take more than one piece of candy, people who smash jack-o’-lanterns, and even a woman who hands out apples and toothbrushes to trick-or-treaters, among others.
I also got a kick out of all the references to other films throughout the movie, especially the ones spoken over the hospital loudspeaker. The last thing I really liked was the soundtrack, which sounds like a mix of 1980s metal, rap, and new wave." ★★★ @trickhorrortreater

"Deceiving title for a satisfying supernatural slasher that revels in a campy Halloween night murder spree... It also gives off a total early 2000s era, direct-to-DVD vibe with some nods to the 80s as well. The soundtrack even consists of retro synthpop tracks by Blaklight... The sexy killer nurse goes around using conventional means to kill anyone she comes across, including the most deserving victims of all, a couple that celebrates Christmas on October 31st because they think Halloween is Satan’s holiday... The film unfolds more like a bunch of mini skits, jumping around between silly scenes of sorority girls, trick or treaters, an adorable, comedic cop investigating each murder scene, and a bunch of bro dudes, who are the ones that eventually have to battle the sexy killer nurse... It’s hokey Halloween fun and humor, with some playful kills (including a crotch attack), so it’s definitely a good one to put on to set a tone at your Halloween party. The only part that didn’t really work for me consisted of occasional sequences inside the sexy killer nurse’s mind as she communicates with the killer possessing her." BoysBearsAndScares.com
"The world isn’t at a loss for horror films that capitalize on the Stateside appeal of Halloween (and how cherished it is by many), but while Blue Murder has its points of weakness (notably some repetitive, semi-improvised interplay between a dumb deputy and a jaded detective), it is also more slick and confidently executed than so many “pick-up-an-iPhone-and-shoot” atrocities. Above all, it’s a fun watch that I foresee becoming a sleeper staple in many horror fans’ spooky-season-marathon rotations alongside Trick ‘r Treat and the WNUF Halloween Special." ★★★ JonnyNumb.com
"Saw Blue Murder on Tubi, a truly excellent film in so many ways. A mix of horror but yet a great comedy blended perfectly. And Jewel Bressler is a perfect actress for this role. She kept me glued in. Other cast members were wonderful & blended in well with conversations giving even more life to the film." 10/10 Michael-12235 at IMDb.com
"Haha wth was that?? At first I thought heck nooooo too cheesy, terrible “plot” and acting….but the bizarreness kind of grew on me. You can tell a lot of heart went into this weird little film and that makes my heart happy π" ★★★ Alison at Letterboxd.com
"One of those movies that’s actually better and more imaginative than it first seems while still being dumb fun." ★★★ Matt at Letterboxd.com
"So cheesy it was unbelievable, but I would still recommend giving it a watch. Just don’t watch it with children." ★★½ Eric at Letterboxd.com
"Absolutely loved this. It's gory, and hilarious. Practical effects were nice, and I really loved the actors. Like I said, it is such a fun movie. The score is awesome. Highly Recomomended." ★★★★★ GrandOldBastard at Letterboxd.com
"Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, and Sexy Pizza Nurse. Could that someday be my Mount Rushmore of slasher icons? I'm certainly open to the possibility... And that's my review of Blue Murder." ★★★½ L. Charles Strangeland at Letterboxd.com
