What's on Tonight: HOCUS POCUS 2 (2022) on DISNEY+

This is what I'm watching tonight: Hocus Pocus 2 premiered on Disney+ today September 30, 2022. Info below from Wikipedia and posters from IMDb.

Hocus Pocus 2 is a 2022 supernatural/comedy/family film directed by Anne Fletcher, written by Jen D'Angelo and produced by Walt Disney Pictures. A sequel to the 1993 film Hocus Pocus, it stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, and Doug Jones reprising their roles while Sam Richardson, Whitney Peak, Belissa Escobedo, Tony Hale, and Hannah Waddingham join the cast in new roles.

SYNOPSIS: Three young women accidentally bring back the Sanderson Sisters to modern-day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking havoc on the world. The world may have been free of Winifred, Mary, and Sarah and the fear they invoked in us all, but what happens when you mess with magic? It messes back.

Filming took place from October 2021 to January 2022 in Rhode Island, replacing Salem, Massachusetts. It was released on Disney+ on September 30, 2022. Unlike the original movie, the film received a mixed-to-positive response from critics, praising the cast performances, and humor, but criticized the plot. Some critics deem the movie as an improvement over its predecessor.

    1. Don't feel bad I haven't watched the full first one either until this year when I got Disney+. I mean I tried watching it in the late 1990's but I couldn't get into it and shut it off 15 minutes in.
