A field of screams ... you can never leave.
C.O.R.N. (2021) is currently streaming free with ads on Roku and YouTube here and here. The horror thriller was released to digital on July 30, 2021.
The slasher movie is the first part of a planned trilogy. CORN II: MIND HARVEST (2024) is free to watch with ads on Tubi and Roku but does not take place on Halloween and is more of a character study than a slasher horror film.
"Stranded in a rural area, two teenagers make friends with locals on Halloween but soon run into a cult called C.O.R.N. (Collective Order of Recreational Necrophilanthropists) that have chosen this area to perform human taxidermy..."
Written, produced and directed by Robin Christian (Disposable, Bad Company), and stars Mateus Ward, Kennedy Tucker, Roger Cross, Dylan Riley Snyder and Robert Donavan (Art of the Dead, Killer Kate!).
There is no trailer for the film online that I could find.

Jack-O's Review: "A good bad movie, there's a lot of scarecrow jokes, not that much gore it's mostly offscreen cutting into the bodies then showing the aftermath. I liked the brother and sister characters and the villains Dracula and his Frankenstein henchman were creepy. There's a scarecrow in a cornfield and costumes but no other Halloween vibes, no pumpkins or decorations and the holiday has nothing to do with the plot." ★★½ @trickhorrortreater

"For a film about human taxidermy, C.O.R.N: A Field of Screams is fairly light on gore, although the one scene we do get is extremely effective. There are also some effective sound effects. And we do get to see some interestingly stitched together bodies during the party... This could have been a passable slasher but it goes on way too long with a few too many dumb decisions on the part of both the cast and the filmmakers." VoicesFromTheBalcony.com
"What a relief to stumble upon something so refreshingly different than all the cookie cutter horror that hits the mainstream these days. C.O.R.N. is the kind of out there stuff that leaves commenters online saying generic shit like "worst movie ever"... The opening scene has perfect horror atmosphere as some girls have fun in a haunted maze at night...before one is dragged down to a lair to get a little scarecrow treatment... I kind of adored the film, even if there is a little slowdown in the middle that could have been tightened up to help with temporary pacing issues." BoyBearsAndScares.com
"There's a freestyle manner to the filming/editing, which makes the first 30 minutes iffy in a meandering way. If you can acclimate, however, there are enough highlights to make "C. O. R. N." worthwhile for those who appreciate Indy horror and are in the mode for a flick with lots of Halloween-ish ambiance. The tone is serious, but there's some Vincent Price-like camp with the cult artists, especially Donavan. Petite beauty Kennedy Tucker as protagonist Tia is worth the price of admission... The movie is overlong at 1 hour, 42 minutes; it would've worked better at a streamlined 72-90 minutes. GRADE: B-/C+" 6/10 Wuchakk at IMDb.com
"Not boring but a bit predictable and unconvincing > Worth spending your time on a lazy Sunday afternoon. C'mon, this is not the Omen or anything like that. I didn't watch C.O.R.N. expecting a classic. But it's goofy and keeps you entertained, that's if you are a sucker for road trip horror with fields and lamp-posts." 6/10 ronaldocarey at IMDb.com
"When this started we were on our way for 2.5 stars. I found the premise reasonably interesting, and the film's style--particularly during outside night shots--to be quite stunning. It was immediately clear that the limiting factor was going to be the pacing. Every single scene in to this film takes its time. Now this isn't a problem, and is often a hallmark of some of the crown jewels in our current Golden Age of Horror. But this is not highbrow. It is no Hereditary. It isn't The Witch or Us either. It's your basic, replacement level dead-teenagers-horror. And that pacing issue? It only gets worse. By the end I completely stopped caring about everything and everyone involved." ★½ at Rob Hill at LetterBoxd.com
"In a sort of bizarre low budget blend of Get Out and House of Wax... I honestly enjoyed this more before all the CORNing started and I thought it was just going to be a run of the mill slasher movie with kids partying and getting killed. I mean, that kinda happens but not the way I was hoping. Still, there was one really well done jump scare and a twist I didn’t see coming so that’s something... It wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad either. Also, the lead guy was really cute so you know that’s worth an extra half star in my book." ★★★ Tony the Terror at LetterBoxd.com
