Reviews:

"While it is the weakest of the series, it still offers up at least two stories that I really enjoyed... The acting in this one is very inconsistent, like almost every aspect of the film. Some of the stories have a fantastic cast that really get into their roles while others feel almost as if they told to get the scene over as quick as possible... Finally, the film doesn’t shy away from blood but it’s not as gruesome as I would have liked. We do get a few small shots of computer generated effects but most of the film consists of practical effects. The deaths fit the films but they are nothing memorable or that would stand out to the viewer... Overall, 10/31 Part IV is a solid enough watch with the first and final segment being the highlight of the film. I really wanted to like Nix’s segment, and while I respect him as a filmmaker, that segment wasn’t for me. I recommend checking it out if you dig the franchise but if you are looking for something new to watch during your Halloween season then I would suggest the first three films in the series." ★★★ HorrorSociety.com

"Unlike most folks, I harbor a special fondness for the first 10/31 (2017) offering. It's undeniably corny and cheaply made with amateur acting to boot, but something about it makes me smile every year when I throw it on in October. Now the sequels don't jive for me as much as that first film; they're not awful or even remotely bad, they just are more clearly defined by how cheap they are. 10/31 Part 4 continues to feel cheap and dare I say, it may just be the cheapest entry of them all...so far!... Another 10/31 film and still to this day none of these movies actually suck, they're just all cheap and semi-lame. Know your tastes Ghosties!" ★★½ DopeAssGhost at letterboxd.com

"My 31st film in my 31 days is none other then the FOURTH Chapter in the ultra-low budget, but still sometimes fun, Halloween-themed 10/31 film series. I didn't even KNOW there was a fourth film til I walked up to the ScreamTeam Releasing table at Spookala last weekend. all 4 10/31 Blu-rays had very cool comic book-style slipcovers & a sweet deal later I had all 4 as well as The Barn! SUPPORT INDEPENDENT HORROR B*TCHES! Whoops, I geeked out over the Blu-rays instead of the film itself!... Overall an inferior entry in the 10/31 franchise, but I'm sure there will be 20 more of these since they seem really cheap to make! πŸ˜…" ★★½ jorgito2001 at letterboxd.com

"The franchise isn't going anywhere. The first one was a nice surprise but all these sequels feel rushed. The first story is really stupid with some bad acting. The second story is a boring-ass version of Halloween 3. The third story does feel like an actual movie but ends pretty abruptly. The fourth story is too simple to have anything memorable. The fact that the wraparound is now some cheap animation proves even more that there's not much effort put into this." ★★ collecticustv at letterboxd.com

"An annual tradition to watch now. I wish Malvolia was still in person. I don't know why they went to a cartoon. As a Halloween anthology film it is pretty average." ★★★½ ChrisZank at letterboxd.com
