What's on Tonight: CHUCKY Season 3 Premiere + Reviews

Chucky Season 3 premieres tonight October 4, 2023 at 9PM on USA & SYFY with new episodes available to stream on Peacock the next day. First four episodes will air this year with the second half of episodes debuting in 2024. The 2023 WGA and SAG strikes interrupted the production of “Chucky” Season 3, causing the split into two halves. Looks like we're getting another Halloween episode called "Halloween III: Season of the Witch", check out scenes of a costume party at the White House in the official trailer below.

In Chucky’s unending thirst for power, Season 3 now sees Chucky ensconced with the most powerful family in the world — America’s First Family, inside the infamous walls of the White House. How did Chucky wind up here? What in God’s name does he want? And how can Jake, Devon, and Lexy possibly get to Chucky inside the world’s most secure building, all while balancing the pressures of romantic relationships and growing up? Meanwhile, Tiffany faces a looming crisis of her own as the police close in on her for “Jennifer Tilly’s” murderous rampage last season.

The returning cast includes Zackary Arthur, Björgvin Arnarson, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Lara Jean Chorostecki, Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly, and Devon Sawa. Saturday Night Live's Sarah Sherman and Kenan Thompson will guest star!

Reviews:

The tone, at least so far this season, revels in camp. “Chucky” Season 3 continues the series’ streak of bringing in tongue-in-cheek cameos and meta-camp humor. Mancini and the writers aren’t just content to poke fun at this series’ history but cinema in general. Look for Chucky to find delightfully gory new ways to invade other horror franchises, or rather, one horror franchise in particular with an iconic house. Gorehounds will also find plenty to love about Part 1, with the deaths pushing the limits of bloodletting and arterial spray. One extended death continues so long that you can’t help but marvel at how it made the final cut to air on cable. ★★★ Bloody-Disgusting.com

The show doesn't pull any punches getting right into Chucky's trademark sarcasm and violence. Brad Dourif continues as the voice behind the plastic face of terror, delivering promises to knock off those who oppose him one by one. What his end goal is, we don't know just yet, but it does seem like we may see Tiffany again, too...I love this series because it delivers the shock value we loved from the original movies while seamlessly blending in modern updated touches like the dangers of social media and representation of the LGBTQ community. Major props to the makeup and effects departments, too, for not shying away from the horror and gore. I mean, that's what we're here for, right? CreepyKingdom.com
